Spyder-Veh

The Spyder-Veh is a SIM-ed Prime1 tracker and power adaptor boxed inside an ABS flanged case with an internal Nd magnet, a 2.5m two-core (8-24Vdc & GND) lead through a plastic IP67 cable gland.

It contains a 2.5G modem and a M2M SIM card that will roam in all developed countries worldwide. It contains the latest uBlox GPS satellite navigation chipsets and has large internal GPS and GPRS antenna.
It has a cache for storing position reports when it loses GPRS connection, which are then uploaded on reconnection.
Its packaging is water and dust proof to IP67. It has an internal Neodymium magnet for attachment to ferrous (steel) surfaces, and flange screw or tie-wrap holes for attachment to other surface types. Its compact size and shape allows it to be easily placed or hidden in most locations. It must not be completely enclosed by metal, so that its top surface faces the outside world with a path for satellite radio waves to reach it.

The Spyder-Veh doesn't have a power on/off button, and so is ordinarily ON and will (re-)charge itself when wired in to a vehicular electrical system by customers. This done by connecting its red (+ve) lead to 12V or 24V and its black lead to battery earth or a chassis fixing connected to earth. When so connected, it will show as charging on the user interfaces. It does not have any external LED windows so as not to attract undue attention to it.

Remote access from the 5 user interfaces, such as the Tracking Panel, allows users to:

• set the frequency for position reporting;
• view the emergency/panic button status; 
• define a Geo-Fence zone(s) and turn it/them On/Off; 
• turn On/Off (Arm/Disarm) the Motion detection function
• send commands (SMS) to the tracker to change settings;
• to enter the mobile phone number(s) for SMS messages or email addresses of the alert recipients.
